To make matters worse, it doesn't seem like NC releases their essays or example answers, so in the NC essay book, Bar Bri just includes their own model answer.
There is no checklist for self-scoring, it's just read what Bar Bri said. The second was not open book, and I answered the first part on my own, but used my notes for part 2.
The nearest Amtrak and Greyhound Stations are located in Durham, approximately a 20-30 minute drive.
Stay: The iconic Carolina Inn has been the place to stay at UNC for 90 years, with an ideal location right on campus.
(PS I used the book for those two, but on my regular assigned essays I don't check outlines).
Finally, tonight I just did a Civ Pro essay and I just completely made up my answer. I checked my handout and both outline books and I cannot imagine how anyone would write a competent essay or anything close to what the Bar Bri model answer is. I feel like I learned nothing from that guy or the hand out (which got so many complaints for not even being fully filled in, that Bar Bri had to post a filled in handout). Is there anyone on here who is taking the NC bar/has taken it?
I feel like it isn't helping me at all because it is so specific of an answer and there is no indication of how many points you might get for certain things. I've been trying to stay positive about it by saying, well now I know this tidbit of law and I'll remember it in the future, but I just have no clue if what I am doing with my essays is helping me. I got an 8/9 on that one, but, in real life I probably missed half the answer.
FYI the grade is out of 10 and apparently 6-7 range is passing.
Modeled after George Washington’s Mount Vernon house, the inn is an antebellum southern gem with a lovely terrace and fire pits, perfect for afternoon tea or an evening cocktail.
The university’s history and traditions are on display in photographs and stories that line the walls of the inn, a charming and informative touch.
